Hmm, it seems that they didn’t get the zoomout, add add’l desktop feature, so one could have a custom desktop for different activities. For example, my “News” desktop have several RSS feeds, comics and weather and on my work desktop, I have all of my work open using the folder plasmoid.

geez, do you lot even have 5 IQ points amongst yourselves?!?? (re: all the crap written below the video) listen to you lot, you sound like school kids “who do you think would win, Superman, or The Hulk?”
    or
“My dad could kick your dad’s butt!”
there’s pros ‘n cons to each OS – make up your own minds what works best for you and your purposes, but this mud slinging trash talk just makes you all sound like a bunch of inane gibbering idiots.

There is a live CD for gnome and KDE. The installer the same as Ubuntu . They should realize it there and stop talking crap about the installer us tech like and have to use.

Windows 7 is very nice. Using it right now. As for OpenSuse, I like the look, but each time I’ve messed around with it it has struck me as slow when compared to Ubuntu.

i think google wave is even more useless than twitter already is. those coders should put their time on something more usefull than such crap.

That seems to precise, I don’t think the census bureau have any idea but that it is around 300 millions.

Considering all the undocumented people migrating, the people who refuse to register their children, etc.

They can, but you will then get two conflicting versions of that file.

I completely agree with Bryan, Google Wave is a useless piece of crap, it will not save anybody’s time, it will just add another place to check every now & then, like you check your email, facebook, and youtube you now have to go and check Wave, also why doesn’t this intergate with Gmail ? so an email comes in my Wave?

  21. jeffreyparke says on: 3 December 2009 at 4:56 pm

it might say “desktop settings” when you right click on the desktop. Depends on what it’s already set to.

  22. jeffreyparke says on: 3 December 2009 at 5:25 pm

to get icons on your desktop in kde 4, right click on your desktop and hit ‘folder view settings” and under type you can select either to use a plasmoid to look at the desktop icons or use a traditional desktop
