Windows 7 – Better for Gamers?

Written By: admin on November 29, 2009 25 Comments

go.tagjag.com – During a live call session the other night, people were on the phone to gab about Windows 7. We talked about everything from security to aesthetics. This particular caller, Sonu, is a member of our live community on a regular basis. He is a gamer, and had something interesting to note in favor of Windows 7 that I hadn’t yet heard. I’m wondering if you are experiencing this, as well. twitter.com – chris.pirillo.com

Games seem better on 7, to me, than Vista or XP, and I am running a antiquated Pentium 4.

I can live without the internet I did it for about 5 years I plsyed games in my 95. I guess since he is 13 he is probably one of those teens who spend much of their time on social networks.

windows 7 also automatically adjusts the picture aspect ratio to fit your monitor in video games.

Like if a games native resolution is 800×600(4:3) or 1024×768(4:3) and your using a widescreen 16:9 or 16:10 monitor, it will fit that 4:3 picture as 4:3 instead of filling up the whole screen and squishing the image… fan fucking tastic!

That could would rather lose the internet than windows just like he couldnt live without his apple… Duh! Apple fan boys are the most arrogant dweebs ever.

Stupid companies like infinity ward aren’t focusing on the pc version of their games. It is all about the xbox and ps3. It really sucks!

@jwd0808 well he said choose between windows or internet. how is that confusing?
any sane person would choose internet over windows; well i most certainly would choose internet. i mean how hard can it be to get used to linux, or maybe install mac OS

I’m not sure about your analogy, but what Chris is saying makes no sense. He didnt say Windows + internet is better or worse. He implies that it is either/or with no mention of other OSs. Living without Windows or the Internet was the option. He then said ‘how far can you get with a computer that isn’t connected to the internet’. He was mixing his messages as he spoke. Chris was confusing this poor kid with smug convoluted double-speak only because the guy uses Windows. Not very encouraging.

possible, cause the RC, and the RTM have a gaming bug which is solved in the Retail version.

  21. TheAceGamer says on: 29 November 2009 at 10:43 pm

He wasn’t talking about OS’s in general he was talking specifically about Windows.

He’s saying would you rather use something other than Windows with the internet, or Windows without the internet.

I would pick the first one just because I use the internet a lot.

Was Chris really suprised this kid was 13? I could tell the entire time….

andrew66618: HORRIBLE example, French fries are a million times better WITHOUT Ketchup, than WITH it. In fact, the correct way to have French fries has ALWAYS been vinegar and salt. Ketchup is for children, regardless of the food. Same thing with hotdogs..Ketchup is not allowed.
