mart all laptop screens open relitavely similar to this, there’s not much to opening and replacing a screen if you know what your doing, but yeah its exacly the same, “bumpers, screws under the bumpers, pull off the bevel and un-do the screws on the side holding the screen in place”

gaz did you plug the inverter back in, if you have’nt plugged that back in, the screen with not light up. “just be a dark screen” seeing stuff on the screen very faintly

Great video thanks mate..just struck one problem compared to you….I’ve got a Toshiba M200 and the screen doesn’t lie completely flat like yours..and so bevel doesn’t come free at the bottom hinge..have tugged to the point of nearly snapping…must be some other lock there…any clues?

The connector on the back of the LCD itself SHOULD be the same all round, I replaced the screen on a Toshiba from one out of an old Gateway, the only issues I had was that the brightness controls were wired the wrong way around and when you press the hotkey to turn it up it goes down, luckily the reverse is also true :D

  18. Absoltastic says on: 29 December 2009 at 3:17 am

I’m pretty sure you need the same company. The connectors and whatnot on a toshiba screen may not be what a dell needs.
