The Best Anti-Virus Software

Written By: admin on December 1, 2009 26 Comments

live.besttechie.net – I received a question via my skribit widget on my blog asking “what is the best anti-virus?” My personal favorite is NOD32 for a paid anti-virus and either Anti-Vir or Avast! for a free anti-virus.

i use avast it’s pretty good. nothing technical, works great. light on resources. updates frequently. catch anything and everything the free version has a filter on scripts on the web/email file sharing network and system “shields”. if i were to recommend a sold version. i like panda antivirus. i was told about it by a guy who wrote things before the web and comps we popular and it will catch and clean almost anything or it did a few years ago when i used it last. something to consider.

Very well stated. Nice video. Couldn’t of said it better. NOD32 uses ThreatSense technology with advanced heuristics to analyze files so that even if your signatures are out of date ESET will protect you from the worst of the worst malicious software.

I use ESET Smart Security 4 along with a behavior/community-based anti-malware tool called Prevx 3.0. Combined, your PC is not only fast but also very secure.

i use comodo firewall pro with Avira AntiVir Personal free anti virus, i tried using comodo anti virus and when i installed nero it said it found a virus! i would keep comodo firewall and install avira.

  11. 2trutwin says on: 2 December 2009 at 12:08 am

you contradicted yourself by downing eset when in your vid you are actually giving it props. true asshole!!

  12. 2trutwin says on: 2 December 2009 at 12:34 am

a noob? i have a fucking command center in my home compared what you probably have. i would say what i can do to your pc but i won’t even get into that. ppl get NOD32 and don’t listen this dweeb.

Kaspersky Security Suite is nice :)

  14. NeonXxXSurf says on: 2 December 2009 at 2:06 am

you are a noob @2truwin, eset is the worst antivirus ever, avira is good, no antivirus is the best

  15. NeonXxXSurf says on: 2 December 2009 at 3:03 am

sorry, @DavidPlim, but mse sucks balls, i had mse then i changed to Avira, avira detected 2600 viruses that mse didnt, Avira is so cool, i use avira, micosoft security essentials sucks

  16. DavidPlim says on: 2 December 2009 at 3:40 am

just because it has a better detection rate doesn’t mean its better, maybe that 90% of the people using it surf for porn all day?

  17. offen236 says on: 2 December 2009 at 3:41 am

well ive used all 3, i know avira has a better detection rate for a start, check the virus bulletin pal.

  18. DavidPlim says on: 2 December 2009 at 4:12 am

you are kinda right. but in my experience, norton took up too much space, reported files as trojans wrongly and was just annoying. i think avast and ms security essentials are the best ones

  19. DavidPlim says on: 2 December 2009 at 4:44 am

any proof? no, i though so

  20. offen236 says on: 2 December 2009 at 5:04 am

avira antivir is better than both avg and avast.

  21. truexposure says on: 2 December 2009 at 5:23 am

WHAT HAVE YOU GOT INSTALLED ?

I have MS Defender and MS defender, and MS Security Essentials.

Ive used most of the others, i liked Avast, AVG, . AVG seemed to slow my laptop least, and Avast was more functional.

Norton seemd to big. As far at which did best, AVG and Norton seemd to find most threats.

  24. 2trutwin says on: 2 December 2009 at 7:47 am

people listen. NOD32 is truly the best on the market. approximately 5 minutes ago i was on jamglue and a trojan tried to attack my pc. every week my NOD32 catches viruses and quarantines them. it’s the best people. expensive but very good indeed
